Anne Allan trail run

Thankyou to everyone who came and supported our Anne Allan Trail Race. The sun came out and we had a glorious morning!
We remembered Anne and raised money for muscular dystrophy, a charity close to all our hearts.
Alnwick harriers Liam McDonogh, and Polly Moreland took the male and female wins!
Already looking forward to seeing you all next year! ❤️ 💛 🖤

Redcar Half marathon

Last weekend Mike Henry and Jim Allan took on the Redcar half marathon, an England Masters qualifying event.

Mike Henry (M75; 2:01:37) and Jim Allan (M55; 1:21:13) both qualified to represent England in an international vs Wales at the 2026 Swansea half marathon.

Great North Run

The dust has settled on another Great North Run and Alnwick Harriers were out in force from the city to the sea.
Half marathon debuts, PBs, supporting friends and charities, it had it all!
This race means so much to the north east and we are so proud of each and every one of our harriers out there on the road!
Well done everyone! 💪🏻 🔴🟡⚫️

Floors Castle 10k

5 harriers completed the 2 lap Floors Castle 10k trail race today on a mix of gravel tracks and tarmac, with a tough hill in the middle of the lap. Results:

Michael Brown 2nd VM50 00:48:55, Mel Steer 1st VF50 00:54:55, Derek Guthrie 2nd VM60 00:56:17, Eileen Guthrie 2nd VF60 1:02:25, Jayne Baker 4th VF50 1:06:24

Joining us were runners from Run4Fun, making a good contingency from Alnwick.

Run the Raid - August 3rd 2025

Well done to Jim, Tess, Ian, Mel and Louisa completing the Run the Raid half marathon from Spittal to Holy Island.

Great running from everyone but specific congratulations to Jim who came in second overall!!!!
