Each year Alnwick Harriers operate a Grand Prix competition.

To allow harriers of all age to compete on a level playing field, the competition uses WAVA scoring   

Each year a list of qualifying events is published, the events range from short road runs to, marathons and fell races and every thing in between. The events are split into a number of groups with your best score or scores from each group counting to your Grand Prix score.

The exact groupings and scoring can vary from year to year but the principal is always the same.

The top 12 positions after the final race win trophies and prizes.

Club Vest or T-shirt must be worn for your event to count in the Grand Prix

The only exceptions are:

Druridge Bay & Pastures Parkruns.

GNR, if you are running for a charity, then the charity’s vest can be worn.

WAVA scores for the Grand Prix are calculated by our own software and may therefore differ slightly from online calculated values such as Fetch.
